GYFCP Cheerleading

The Greenfield Youth Cheerleading Program is a co-ed program, for all children in 1st through 8th grades. Athletes are grouped by age/grade level.

Starting end-July/early-August, we will practice 3 days per week. Practices run through mid-October.

• We practice 2 days per week at a Greenfield School within the district.
• We practice 1 day per week indoors at Elite Tumbling.
• Practice times are set by the Head Coach and will typically be between 5pm and 8pm. 
• We will cheer at all home and select away football games.

What is included in the base package for Cheerleading?

• Rental of an official cheerleading uniform (needs to be turned in at the end of the season)
• Hair bow (female athletes) 
• Other misc fees such as facilities rentals, insurance, etc

Each family will submit a $100 "equipment fee check" which we hold onto all season until you return the borrowed uniform to us at the end of the season. This check is not cashed unless you do not return your uniform.

What do families need to provide?

• White socks
• White cheer shoes (no KEDS)
• Black leggings (female athletes) 
• Cheer liner (long sleeve shirt for under uniform) *optional
• Elite tumbling membership for 3 months

Optional "a la carte" items

• Poms: Every athlete needs a set of poms. If you have your poms from last year, no need to add this cost to your registration. You keep at the end of the season.
• Cheer jacket: Every athlete needs a matching cheer jacket. We can personalize the jacket with your name! If you have your jacket from last year, no need to add this cost to your registration. You keep the jacket at the end of the season.
• Cheer backpacks: Personalized cheer backpacks are optional.

Let's say you are new to cheerleading and just starting with us!

• $75 base price (early bird pricing, price increases in June, payment plans available)
• $25 poms *required
• $55 cheer jacket with embroidery *required
• $60 cheer backpack with embroidery *optional
• $135 Elite tumbling membership *required, paid to Elite
• white socks, white shoes, black leggings

If you are a returning athlete and have your poms, jacket and backpack, no need to order new items! You would just need the base price and to ensure you still have a membership to Elite for the time we will be cheerleading (end-July to end-October).

We operate as a 100% volunteer program. For our season to be successful, we rely on parent participation. Examples of volunteer opportunities: 

• Concession stand
• Photographers
• Team parent
• Assistant coaches

Each family will submit a $300 "volunteer check" that we hold onto all season until your volunteering commitments have been fulfilled. This check is not cashed unless you do not volunteer.

There is a mandatory fundraiser.
