Cheerleading Info/Equipment

The Greenfield Youth Cheerleading Program is a co-ed, cheerleading program, for all children in 1st through 8th grades. 

Our teams perform at football games for the Greenfield Youth Football Program. Our Cheerleading Program is the feeder program for Greenfield High School. Greenfield High School Cheerleaders volunteer their time to student-teach all of our teams. We teach the principles of cheer and develop athletes, so they are prepared to excel at the high school level. 

Practices

Starting end-July/early-August, we practice 3 days per week. Practices run through mid-October.

• We practice 2 days per week at a Greenfield school.
• Practice times are set by the Head Coach and will typically be between 5pm and 8pm. 
• We practice 1 day per week indoors at Elite Tumbling. (Elite membership sold separately.)

Games

• We will cheer at all home games, located at Greenfield High School.
• We will cheer at select away games.

What is included in the base package for Cheerleading?

• Rental of an official cheerleading uniform.
• Each athlete will submit a $100 "equipment fee check" which we hold onto all season until you return the cheerleading uniform to us at the end of the season. This check is not cashed unless you do not return your gear.
• Hair bow (female athletes).
• Other misc fees such as facility rentals, insurance, etc.

What do families need to provide?

• White socks
• White cheer shoes (no KEDS)
• Black leggings (female athletes), weather permitting
• Cheer liner (long sleeve shirt for under uniform) *optional
• Elite tumbling membership for 3 months

Optional "a la carte" items

• Poms: Every athlete needs a set of poms. If you have your poms from last year, no need to add this cost to your registration. You keep them at the end of the season.
• Cheer jacket: Every athlete needs a matching cheer jacket. We will personalize the jacket with your name! If you have your jacket from last year, no need to add this cost to your registration. You keep the jacket at the end of the season!
• Cheer backpacks: Personalized cheer backpacks are optional.
